No. 14 Campolindo 21, Hayward 0

Campolindo (4-1) bounced back from a loss to McClymonds last week, scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter and playing strong defense after that. Hayward suffered its first defeat after a 3-0 start. Both of Campolindo’s touchdowns in the first quarter came on passes from quarterback Grant Harper. The first was a 7-yard pass to Ryan O’Neil, the second was a 46-yard hookup to Joey Schmidt. O’Neil had a 4-yard run in the fourth quarter to cap the scoring. Hayward begins West Alameda County Conference play next Friday by visiting Arroyo. Campo continues its non-league schedule by hosting No. 16 Rancho Cotate.
