CAMPOLINDO 42, ACALANES 7

The No. 1 seed Cougars (11-1) raced out to an early 21-point lead in cruising to a home quarterfinal win.
It was an efficient Cougars offense which paced the hot start, with three scoring drives in as many possessions. Meanwhile, the defense stymied Acalanes and had five quarterback sacks. They also forced a second-quarter fumble deep in Acalanes territory, leading to a score.
Campolindo went on a tidy 10-play, 49 yard drive to start the game. Quarterback Jacob Westphal capped the drive with a 4-yard fade pass to receiver Max Flower for the score. Westphal finished with 210 yards passing and three touchdowns.
The Campolindo defense got the offense the ball right back, forcing a punt.
Starting inside Acalanes territory, the Cougars would efficiently move the ball again. Five plays later, Jack Cassidy would score from 2 yards out to make it 14-0. A 40-yard completion from Westphal to Kannah Cruickshank helped set up a Joey Berzins 4-yard touchdown catch from Westphal for the third score.
